Rice is a staple in millions of homes, but not all rice is created equal. Two bags can carry the same variety name and still cook completely differently.
Aroma is not an accident
The scent that fills a kitchen when basmati hits hot water comes from a natural compound that degrades with poor storage and aggressive processing. We protect it with climate-managed silos and gentle milling.
Grain length that survives cooking
An 8.35 mm raw grain is only half the story — the real test is whether it elongates without breaking. Careful moisture control during drying gives our grains the strength to double in length and still stay separate.
A chef judges rice on the plate, not on the spec sheet. Our job is to make sure the two agree. Ageing changes everything
Freshly harvested basmati is soft and sticky. Naturally aged basmati — 12 to 24 months for our Golden grades — loses excess moisture, absorbs water more evenly and delivers the fluffy, non-sticky texture that biryani depends on.
Cleanliness you can see
- 100% sortex cleaned — multi-pass optical sorting removes discoloured grains
- Foreign matter 0.2% max — no stones, husk or field debris
- Broken grains 1% max on our premium grades
- Whiteness 38+ Kett for a bright, uniform pack appearance
Consistency is the real product
Any mill can produce one excellent lot. The difficulty is producing the same lot fifty times.
